Michael Flatley is loved-up with his wife, Niamh, but that doesn’t stop him from taking a compliment when it’s fired his way.
In a crossover we never saw coming, but are kind of obsessed with, none other than JLo has stated her opinion that the Lord of the Dance is ‘one of the sexiest men she has ever seen’.
Of course, Michael gushed that he’s a ‘very lucky man’ after hearing the comments made by the global pop sensation.
Michael’s good looks and charming personality have caught the eye of many women over the years, one of whom is ‘one of the most beautiful women in the world’, JLo.
A chapter of his memoir, Lord of the Dance: My Story, begins with JLo expressing her attraction for him, saying: ‘He’s one of the sexiest men I’ve ever seen.’
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Michael reflected on the compliment, saying: ‘If somebody like JLo, who is one of the most beautiful women in the world, says something like that about me, I’m a very lucky man.’
It’s been 32 years since Riverdance made its debut on the world stage at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, and rocketed Michael’s career to new heights.
When asked if he still feels like Lord of the Dance, the 67-year-old said: ‘I like to think I still have energy, but I channel it differently. I have a beautiful wife and a wonderful son. But don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed every kiss with every beautiful girl…

Michael and his second wife, Niamh, have been married since 2006. They first met while she was working as one of his back-up dancers.
Somewhat of a lothario back in his heyday, the Irish-American dancer was first married to Polish hairdresser artist Beata Dziaba for 11 years, whom he met while dancing in London in 1985 with The Chieftains.
He split from Beata in 1997 after revealing he had an affair with another dancer, Kelley Byrne, who was 19 at the time.
Michael went on to have a high-profile relationship with Lisa Murphy. The Irish dancer popped the question to her while they were on a romantic escape in Monte Carlo in 2002, and they had an on-and-off relationship until 2006.
But it was Niamh who stole his heart. The couple welcomed their first and only child together after just one year of wedded bliss, their son Michael Saint James.
