Little Stars Concert has done it again. What an evening of songs was had in The Sacred Heart Church Waterford on Monday last. Five choirs from Waterford schools performed at this magical night of music in aid of Saint Vincent De Paul, raising a whooping total of €5,108 for the local charity.
Students from De La Salle College Senior Choir, St. Mary's Ballygunner National School Choir, St Ursula’s Primary School Choir, Waterpark National School and Scoil Lorcain Boys National School performed a variety of Christmas songs. The night finished off fittingly with a rendition of O Holy Night, led by soprano Lyndsey Penkert.
Hats off to Dymphna Nugent from The Big Breakfast Blaa on WLR did a fabulous job of MCing on the night and chatted with lots of the students along the way
A huge thanks to all involved including the musical directors of the 5 schools, Lyndsey Penkert, and Wayne Brown for organising, Utopia flowers for the Flowers, and Fr Chestnut for allowing us to use the church.
The event was recorded by Dean Robinson on sound and will be re-played on air on Christmas Eve from 6-7 pm and on Christmas Day at 3 pm.
