Starting Monday, March 23rd, you could win free entry to the Waterford Viking Marathon on The Big Breakfast Blaa.

The 14th Waterford Viking Marathon returns this year, bigger than ever. Events take place on Saturday, 20th June and Sunday, 21st June 2026, starting at 9 am.

Participants can choose from:

  • Full Marathon

  • Half Marathon

  • 10k Run

  • Children’s Run

  • Disability Run

The marathon focuses on inclusivity, community, and encouraging runners of all abilities.

How to Enter

Entering is simple.

Listen to The Big Breakfast Blaa from 6 am each morning. Identify the day’s “run” song. Correct answers give you a chance to win entry to your preferred event.

Whether you want to take on the full marathon or enjoy the Children’s Run, this is your opportunity to join one of Ireland’s most celebrated running events.
