Christmas Appeal Concerts 2022

It’s been another amazing year for donations to the WLR Christmas Appeal. Throughout the month of December, you helped raise well over €100,000 for St Vincent de Paul. With all kinds of great events to get involved in some of the most treasured memories come from the Christmas Appeal Concerts 2022. They were held in The Friary Dungarvan, The Holy Cross Church Tramore, and St Johns Church Waterford.  These were very special nights and feature some excellent performances.

The first of which was the Little Stars concert which was held in St Johns Church on Monday 12^th December.

The concert featured over 300 kids from schools across Waterford city, including St John Of God N.S, St Ursula's Primary School, De La Salle College, St Mary's N.S, Waterpark N.S, and Presentation Secondary School. The M.C. for the evening was Dymphna Nugent from WLR.

Next up was the Dungarvan Community Concert which was held at The Friary in Dungarvan on Wednesday 14^th of December.

Music on the night came from, The Dungarvan Brass Band, Dungarvan Youth Band, Voiceover Choir, Friary Choir, Cór Fear na nDéise, and Harmony Children's Choir, with WLR's Oliver Carroll being the special guest M.C.

The final concert was held on Thursday 15^th December in The Holy Cross Church, Tramore.

Music on the night came from Sopranos, Vanessa Whelan, Caroline Reid O’Brien and The Kalimbas with M.C. Mary O'Neill
