Washed Out are WLRs "A New Local Hero" and will now go forward to represent Waterford against the other 21 IBI station winners. From here the Hotpress independent judging panel will select 6 nationwide finalists to perform live at The Academy on Tuesday, October 15th in front of a live crowd and judging panel. Ireland's newly crowned "A New Local Hero" will win themselves €10,000 and will record their single professionally and have it released.
