The "Beast from the East" could make a return but perhaps with less snow this time
Michael Kelly, who runs the Waterford City Weather website, joined us on The Big Breakfast Blaa this morning to discuss the freezing conditions expected from Sunday. Lots of comparisons have already been made to the weather event of 2018 which saw "The Beast from the East" and Storm Emma join forces to bring us a huge dump of snow in early March.
However, Michael says while we might not see similar levels of snow, we'll certain experience very cold temperatures as an Easterly wind comes in this weekend.
