Brownie, a hen in Cushcam Dungarvan, has laid a giant egg

We love our eggs here on The Big Breakfast Blaa, and while it might not be Easter yet, we got an EGGstraordinary surprise today when we spoke to Shirley Walsh from Cushcam in Dungarvan, about the feats of Brownie, a family hen.

Shirley told us that her 10-year-old son Odhran has been rearing hens at home after the chicks were born last year. They started to lay in December and Brownie, one of the hens in question, produced a whopper-sized egg in the past week.
