It’s been an exceptional run of form for Wildcats star Sarah Hickey, who has emerged as one of the standout performers in Irish basketball in recent months.
Sarah played a leading role in a perfect February for the Wildcats, guiding her side to an unbeaten run in the league. Across four games, she delivered a series of dominant displays, scoring a remarkable 83 points while also pulling in 44 rebounds.
Her impact has been reflected across the league statistics, where she finished number one for overall efficiency. She also led the way in two-point scoring, shooting an outstanding 52.7 percent, while ranking second in free-throw accuracy at 82 percent. Hickey’s all-around performances saw her place among the top five in both scoring and rebounding across the league.
That form carried seamlessly onto the international stage in March. Representing Ireland, Hickey featured in three European qualifier games, scoring 39 points and collecting 16 rebounds — averaging 13 points per game — while once again leading her team in efficiency.
Her performances have also seen her make history, becoming just the second player ever to score over 100 points for Ireland in senior European qualifiers.
For Hickey, it marks a period of consistency, leadership, and elite-level performance — underlining her growing influence at both club and international level.
