Tramore’s Zara Breslin bowed out of the World Boxing Championships this evening despite a commendable performance against Turkey’s Gizem Özer in the Round of 32 in the women’s lightweight division.

Breslin grew into the fight as it progressed, but the experience of the Turkish boxer told – the European medalist winning 5-0 – 30-27 on all five judge’s scorecards.
