The Waterford camogie team welcome Galway to the SETU Arena on Saturday afternoon in Round 2 of the National League.
Déise coach Mike Boland told WLR Sport that he expects a big performance after last week’s loss to Cork. “You’re in Waterford. You make it hell when someone comes to Waterford. It can’t be any other way. Any other way, forget about it.”
He says that the team will have to up their game against last year’s beaten All Ireland finalists. “I keep saying to the girls that you have to go somewhere you’ve never been to get something you’ve never got. It’s time now that Waterford dug that small bit deeper and bring that small bit more that’s in there that isn’t coming out.”
He admits that they underperformed in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. “It isn’t at the level we’ve been training at it; it isn’t at the level we’ve been playing matches at. We’d be disappointed collectively with the performance. That’s a good sign; it would be a lot worse if we weren’t.”
