All Ireland winning captains with Waterford Nicola Morrissey and Caithriona McGlone will be part of the Camogie Association's 120 year celebrations at Croke Park on Sunday.
The Parade of Captains will take place at half time in the intermediate final where the Lismore pair will be introduced to the crowd. Morrissey led the Déise to junior glory in 2011 while McGlone lifted the intermediate trophy four years later. Family and friends will make the journey to GAA HQ.
"It's lovely to have those people in the stand," McGlone told WLR Sport "We'll both have to start practicing our waves in the next few days!"
That 2015 final win over Kildare was a special day for the Lismore goal getter. "You can't beat walking up the steps in Croke Park. It's any young girl's dream to go out and represent your county. To captain the county and go up those steps and lift the cup, that is a standout moment in any career."
The captaincy also meant a lot to Morrissey. "To be the one to walk up those steps and represent all those girls is absolutely magical. You never forget it. The junior in 2011 was the first time ever that Waterford had won an adult title."
