Waterford’s WLR is proud to announce extensive live coverage of the 2026 Munster GAA Hurling Championship, bringing listeners every moment of one of the most fiercely contested competitions in Irish sport.

From the opening clash on April 19th through to the Munster Final on June 7th, WLR will deliver full live Waterford match commentary, expert previews, and in-depth analysis across all platforms, on radio, online,  smart speaker, and worldwide via the WLR app.

Coverage will include every major fixture involving Waterford, ensuring fans never miss a puck of a sliotar.

WLR’s Kieran O’Connor will lead the station’s live match commentary team throughout the championship, supported by a panel of expert analysts. This will be Kieran’s 35th season in the press box.

Coverage is proudly brought to listeners thanks to George Corbett Motors, Skoda & Cupra on the Cork Road in Waterford City.
