It was a huge day at the foot of the Waterford Premier League on the final day of the season.

An 80th-minute goal from Jack Power secured a famous win for Tycor as they beat the drop with a 1-0 win at home to Waterford Crystal.

Late goals from Jordan Myler and Tighearnain King proved to Ferrybank’s detriment as despite being 2-1 up late on – Portlaw United turned it around and won 3-2.

Today’s results mean Ferrybank finish bottom of the pile.

Elsewhere, Dungarvan United beat rivals Ballinroad 2-0 thanks to goals from Alan Dunwoody and Gary Donnelly while Regix Madika hit a hat-trick in a 5-2 win for Tramore against Bohemians.

Champions Villa were given a walkover by Hibernians ensuring they finish the season with 18 wins from a possible 18.
