The SETU Waterford Wildcats have tasted defeat in the National Womens' Super League for the first time since the opening day of the season.
Their 11-game winning run in all competitions came to a comprehensive end yesterday, going down 108-87 away to Catalyst Father Matthews in Cork.
The Wildcats lead 21-17 following the opening quarter but a strong second quarter saw the hosts lead by nine at the break - 35-26.
Fr. Matthew's further extended their lead in the third quarter to move 85-67 ahead, they extended the advantage to 21 points come the finish.
Next up for the Wildcats is a National Cup Semi-Final against FLOMax Liffey Celtics at the Neptune Stadium.
