The SETU Waterford Wildcats have rounded out the regular season unbeaten at home – defeating St. Paul’s 65-50 at the Mercy Hall last night.

Kate Hickey scored 20 points, while American duo Chelsea Cain and Aisha McCalla contributed 32 points.

Wildcats coach Jillian Hayes has praised her side’s resilience in the face of adversity this season.

“I’ve had a couple of coaches in the league comment on that – any close games this season, we’ve pulled it out of the bag and we’ve won. We just fight fight fight and have shown real resilience – I’m probably killing them to do that, but at least we have that bred into them!”.

The Wildcats round out their campaign away to Portlaoise Panthers next Saturday, March 15th.
