Déise football manager Paul Shankey hopes to see a strong home support for Saturday's double header in Fraher Field.

Waterford versus Clare in the Munster Football Semi Final will be our George Corbett Skoda Big Match on WLR.

"It's brilliant to have the two senior football teams playing in Fraher Field. We'd encourage as many boys and girls and locals to come out and support both teams. Dungarvan will be buzzing with the food festival and everything!"

Waterford are 70 minutes away from a first Munster final appearance since 1960. Shankey says that the Banner are formidable opponents. "They've been operating at a very high level consistently. It's a county that Waterford should be aspiring to and seeing how they do things. Obviously, hurling is very strong but they have a powerful football set-up. We'll have to bring our A game to compete against them."
