Bohemians host Hibernians on Friday in the Waterford Premier League at Poleberry.
The hosts have a game in hand over the visitors but find themselves level on four points apiece with one win and one draw each to date.
Hibs' scoring difference has them fifth in the standings, but they remain a solid eight points off the table toppers Villa.
Bohs meanwhile are in the negative numbers on scoring difference, but nonetheless, a win would send them to fourth in the standings.
While on Saturday, Dungarvan have the chance to climb into second spot.
They host Ferrybank at Kilrush Park knowing a win will see them leapfrog Tramore and to within a point of Villa at the summit.
Last time out, Dungarvan were emphatic 6-nil winners over Carrick United
While Ferrybank are looking to make it back-to-back league wins, following their most recent result over Portlaw back in September.
Both games on Saturday and Sunday are underway from 7 o'clock.
Cup Games
Also on Saturday, the Waterford inter-league youths are back on the pitch when they host the Limerick district.
The third round game will be played at Ozier Park with kick-off at 2 o'clock.
Waterford were 5-4 winners over Kerry in their last outing.
Then on Sunday, the last two Waterford sides involved in the FAI Junior Cup take to the pitch.
Villa are on the road to face Monread from Kildare at Doctors Road.
Conor Coad's side were 6-1 winners over Piltown in round three.
Elsewhere, Tramore take on St Michaels of Tipperary in Graun Park having smashed Tycor 7-0 last time out.
Both games are underway on Sunday at 2 o'clock.
