Weekend football | Senior semi finals and survival on the line

It's a busy weekend in the club football championship with silverware on the line as well as places in the senior final.

The Eastern Junior A final tomorrow will see Butlerstown take on Fenor in Dunhill from half three.

The Junior B decider puts Roanmore up against Erin's Own in Cleaboy on Sunday with a 1pm start.

While the Intermediate final will be played on Sunday at 3.30 pm in Dunhill. The game was potentially being moved to Ballygunner on Monday night, but the pitch is no longer available and the game will proceed as originally planned.

In the West of the county, the Junior A final tomorrow has Ballyduff Upper taking on Cappoquin when they throw in at Lismore at 4 o'clock

The Junior B decider pits Ballinacourty up against Kilrossanty this evening in An Rinn from 7 o'clock.

The Premier Intermediate final on Saturday in Wlash Park will see Rathgomack take on Roanmore from half one.

At the senior grade, the teams are getting ready for a big weekend of semi-final action.

Following their extra-time win over Gaultier last time out, the Nire aim to stay in the hunt as they defend their title. Michael Ryan's men will take on Kilrossanty for the first of the weekend semis with throw-in on Saturday in Fraher Field at 6 pm.

Elsewhere, on Sunday, An Rinn will look to defy the odds once again. After a nail-biting penalties win over Ballinacourty last weekend, the Gaelteacht club face Rathgormack in the final four, underway on Sunday at 2 o clock in Fraher Field.

The relegation final replay will be played out on Saturday. Stradbally and Portlaw, who could not be separated in the first meeting (2.06 - 0.12) will do it again in Kill from 3.45 pm.
