Liverpool bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League and maintained their Champions League challenge with a 3-0 win at Huddersfield.

Emre Can and Roberto Firmino struck first-half goals to put Jurgen Klopp's side in control and Mohamed Salah converted a late penalty to seal their sixth win in eight games in all competitions.

Huddersfield again battled gamely in front of another raucous full house at the John Smith's Stadium but once Can had spectacularly fired Liverpool into the lead, the home side offered little threat.

Liverpool now have a five-point lead over fifth placed Tottenham.

Swansea

Swansea climbed out of the relegation zone for the first time in three months as Petr Cech's dreadful clanger helped condemn Arsenal to a 3-1 defeat at the Liberty Stadium.

Cech's scuffed kick allowed Jordan Ayew to roll home a 61st-minute winner after Sam Clucas had put Swansea on level terms, instantly cancelling out Nacho Monreal's first-half opener.

Clucas claimed his second three minutes from time to finish off Arsenal, who hope to add to their squad before Wednesday night's transfer deadline with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to swell their striking options.

West Ham

Mark Noble's penalty cancelled out a rare Christian Benteke goal as injury-hit West Ham battled to a 1-1 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace at the London Stadium.

Noble struck just before half-time, after James Tomkins had tripped Javier Hernandez, to secure a point which lifted the patched-up Hammers into the top half.

This looked a crucial game for both teams who, despite lying in mid-table remain firmly in the relegation mix, yet the next 24 hours could be even more vital in their attempts to stay clear of trouble.

Transfers

The English transfer window closes at 11pm tonight, with plenty of big deals set to go through.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will have his Arsenal medical today, with a fee already agreed with Borussia Dortmund for the Gabon striker.

His arrival will prompt Olivier Giroud's departure for Chelsea.

While Roma have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United defender, Daley Blind.
