Three-time All Star Jamie Barron says that the target for 2021 is to bring a trophy back to Waterford.
Liam Cahill's side lost to Limerick in both the Munster and All Ireland finals last year and the Fourmilewater midfielder wants to put that right this season. "We did make a lot of strides, which we are happy enough with, but ultimately there wasn’t any silverware on the table for us again. That’s our main aim for 2021. We want silverware, we want something on the table that we can look at and say we’ve achieved something. Something set in stone. We have a lot of incentive going into 2021, a lot to build on and a lot of gains to be made I believe."
He admitted that their performance levels dropped in that eleven point loss to the Shannonsiders. "It was a really tough one to take. I think as good and all as Limerick were on the day, there were times when we didn't live up to our own potential and expectations. That's as tough to take as any defeat."
