Former Déise attacker Michelle Ryan is delighted that both Waterford football teams will be in action at Fraher Field on Saturday evening.
Pat Sullivan's side start their Munster round robin campaign against Cork at 3.45 before Paul Shankey's men face Clare in the provincial semi final at 6.
"It's a great promotion of the game. It creates a little bit of atmosphere. Atmosphere and people on seats is what's needed, especially in the ladies game. I think it's great. It should have been happening a long time ago; I'm delighted it's happening. We need to see more of it. It is one of those simple steps that can be made before the whole integration process takes hold."
