The Waterford ladies need a win against Tipperary on Saturday to keep their Munster final hopes alive.
Pat Sullivan's side lost to Cork by two points last weekend and captain Kellyann Hogan admits that they weren't at their best.
"We were very disappointed with it. Finishing the league against Galway with a good win, we thought it would be a better performance. We thought we had a bit of momentum. It didn't work out like that. We had a long, hard reflection of the match on Tuesday. We definitely didn't play to our potential anyway. We had eleven more shots than Cork so we were regretting a few decisions that we made."
Hogan will come up against her Ballymacarbry club mate Lauren Fitzpatrick this weekend. "She is probably one of the best keepers in the country. She has a very good kickout. Hopefully, we can get a few past her! I wouldn't be saying the same when we're playing with the club!"
Waterford beat the Premier County by two points in last year's Munster championship but Tipp came out on top in a dramatic All Ireland relegation clash. "It's always a huge battle between us and Tipp. I'm expecting nothing different this time around."
Throw in is at 2 o'clock in Bansha on Saturday.
