Waterpark Rugby Club is set to host a British & Irish Lions tour preview talk on Saturday, 21st of June.
The Waterford club will welcome former player and current Munster flanker Jack O’Donoghue to speak on the event panel, along with former Munster teammate Dave O’Callaghan and rugby journalist Murray Kinsella.
The trio will discuss tactics and predictions in anticipation of the 34th Lions Tour, the day after the opening game. The campaign will stretch across six weeks, with the Lions playing 10 matches total.
The Lions will be kicking off their Tour by taking on Argentina at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, June 20th, before heading to Australia. The Lions are looking to win their first series since their last trip to Australia in 2013. The 2-1 series win against the Wallabies was followed by a tied series against New Zealand in 2017 and a loss in South Africa four years ago.
A record 15 Irish players have been included in the 2025 Lions squad, the most of any nation this year, including one Munster player, Tadhg Beirne.
The panel and brunch will begin at noon in the Waterpark clubhouse in Ballynakill. Tickets to the event are available here.
