Hibernians get the ball rolling for the FAI Centenary Cup Quarter finals this afternoon at 2pm.

They're one of two Waterford clubs in last eight action this weekend with Villa hosting Peake Villa tomorrow (Sunday).

Hibs went to Crumlin United in the last 16 where they claimed a 2-1 win over the home team thansk to goals from Luke Kiely and Alex Phelan.

Today, Pike Rovers come to town having beaten Ballinasloe 2-0.

Hibs manager David Breen is calling on people to come watch the match in Mitchell Kennedy Park:

"Hopefully the weather stays good and people come down and support it.

"Hibs are a great club and it would be nice to get a good crowd. It would help us, for sure, the lads like playing in front of crowds because they don't get it too often.

"It's going to be a great occasion for the club, a great occasion for the players and something we're really looking forward to."

Pike Rovers are the sole Limerick team left in the competition, while Hibs had their backs to the wall when they pulled off their win over Crumlin, being down on numbers.

Breen says that's often when the best performances are produced:

"Sometimes when you go up with less players, they all pull together better and it's a little bit easier for me to pick the team too, to be fair.

"But no, in fairness to the lads, up in Crumlin it was a fantastic effort from everyone. We went up there with a very small squad. Lads stuck at it and we got our just rewards.

"I think Oscar Brennan was playing for them - they had one or two decent lads - and to come through it was a really big boost for our lads."

And Breen knows today's last eight tie will be no easy task either.

"I'm delighted for the lads," he says, "because most of them have never been in this stage of the competition. We're really looking forward to it.

"A great bunch of lads there that want to play football and there's a group there that, if they stay together, I think they'll succeed.

"But look, Pike are no easy pushover. We know what we're going to get from them - we played them before a few years ago and I think they beat us up in the WIT Arena.

"They might fancy themselves coming down to us, but we're at home and we'll certainly be doing everything in our power to win it."
