The Waterford Wildcats lost their unbeaten home record last night as the League leaders Liffey Celtics came out on top by 73 points to 65.
Jazz Walker was the Wildcats top scorer with 18 points.
The home side did get within two points of the visitors midway through the final quarter but the Kildare outift, led by Karen Mealy, pulled away in the closing minutes.
Meanwhile, the WIT Vikings made it a winning start to 2019 with a 77 to 51 over University Ulster Elks in WIT Arena.
Just 5 points up at the half-way mark, WIT Vikings put in a tremendous second half performance to ease to their third win in their last four games.
