Manager Paul Power and his management team have named the Waterford U20 football team to face the Kerry U20 football team in the Dalata Hotel Group Munster U20 Football Championship this evening.
The game throws in at 7 pm in Lemybrien, as Waterford look to build on an impressive opening wins in the provincial campaign.
The Déise come into this clash full of confidence following a commanding victory over Tipperary, where they ran out convincing winners on a scoreline of 1-17 to 0-11. It was a performance built on intensity and efficiency, with Waterford setting the tone early and maintaining control throughout.

Up front, Joe Brennan and Paddy McCarthy were in excellent form, combining for eleven points, while Daithí Colleran’s goal proved a key moment in underlining Waterford’s dominance. Their sharp movement and clinical finishing caused constant problems for the Tipperary defence.
Defensively, Waterford were equally impressive, remaining organised and disciplined to limit Tipperary’s scoring opportunities and ensure a comfortable second half.
With momentum on their side, Waterford will now face a significant test against a traditionally strong Kerry side. However, playing on home soil and carrying confidence from their last outing, the Déise will be aiming to deliver another strong performance in front of their home supporters.
