The 11th edition of the Waterford Viking Marathon has come to a close under glorious sunshine in the city.
For the second year in a row, Tudor Moldovan was home fastest in the full marathon, setting a time of 2.30.55 as he crossed the finish line on Grattan Quay.
Tudor was followed by Clare's Sean Hehir in 2.33.33 while Simon Nolan from West Cork claimed third in 2.41.30.
The first woman home was Linda Grogan, representing Dundrum Athletics Club in 3.04.27 .
Beth O' Connor claimed second in a time of 3.23.09, with Aoibhe McCarthy crossing the line third in 3.25.02.
Half Marathon
Muldovan's Clonliuffe teammate Sergiu Ciobanu picked up his first-place medal setting the standard in 1.08.42.
The first lady home hailed from Kilkenny and represented St Joseph's AC. Sally Forristal crossed the line in 1.22.46.
Quarter Marathon
There was Waterford success in the quarter with Craig O'Brien of Ferrybank first to cross the line after 35 minutes and 3 seconds.
While race walker Kate Veale of West Waterford was the first lady home in 40 minutes and 49 seconds.
