Munster U20 Football Championship, Limerick 2.07 - 2.06 Waterford.
The margins were fine and unfortunately for Waterford, they were on the wrong side of them on Saturday in the Munster U20 football Championship.
One point is all that separated the sides at the end of play with Waterford fighting back from a six-point deficit at the halftime break.
Waterford kicked four points in the opening half and would trail 2.04 to 0.04 at the break.
The second period began with Waterford having to roll up their sleeves and accept that a goal chance had gone missing with Sam Pender's penalty hitting the post.
Gavin Whelan's side stayed in touching distance and after half an hour would be within four thanks to a Mikey O'Brien penalty, raising a green flag.
The second goal came through Michael O'Sullivan as the clock turned red in injury time. O'Sullivan's goal had them within the minimum, but it was too late for the Déíse to push on for a winning score.
Waterford remain bottom of the table after two games but will be back in action next Saturday (30th March) when Tipperary come to Fraher Field.
