Despite holding a 4-1 advantage over their opponents, Waterford FC won't be letting complacency play any part tonight when they welcome Treaty United to the RSC in the second leg of their League of Ireland First Division play-off.
The Blues put four past their promotion rivals at Markets Field on Wednesday night - and are in pole position to take on Galway or Longford in the First Division play-off final next Friday.
Defender Alex Baptiste is one of the experienced heads in the dressing room having plied his trade at English Premier League level.
He's told WLR Sport that despite the first leg result, Waterford still need to be wary.
"These past few weeks - every game has been massive and critical in the league and the cup, and this one is no different. We did really well in the first leg, but the flip side of that is we have nothing to lose. They can literally go out carefree. Mistakes won't really matter to them - a side like that is dangerous."
Baptiste will be using personal experience to spur him on this evening - and says the Blues will be wary of the wounded animal.
"The game is far from done. I've actually been in a playoff where we've won 2-0 nil away from home. The game can flip if they score in the first half. Anything can happen in football. We won't be getting complacent even if the job's half done. They can come here and play carefree football. They could go all-out and lose 6-0, it doesn't really matter to them. It's all about being professional and playing to the best of our ability."
Should the Blues make it out of the four First Division teams, then it's guaranteed that UCD will be their opponents in the play-off for Premier Division football on November 11th - after the Students confirmed Finn Harps' relegation with a 3-1 win away in Ballybofey last night.
Kick-off at the RSC is at 7.45 this evening.
