Waterford are on the road to Leitrim this evening as they begin their Tailteann Cup campaign.
The Deise lost out by fifteen points when the sides met in the National League in January.
Waterford midfielder Dermot Ryan has admitted there have been some difficult moments in his Deise career.
He says everyone in the squad plays for the love of the game.
Leitrim won out by 2-17 to 1-5 when the sides met in the Allianz National League in January and The Nire club-man says they're an excellent team; "They are a strong outfit as we saw at the start of this year, I suppose they're probably three years into their development with Andy Moran and you can see that this year throughout their promotion and stuff that they've been able to build on everything the last couple of years".
Paul Shankey has named the Waterford Senior Football Team to play Leitrim in the Tailteann Cup on Saturday May 11th at 6pm in Ballinamore, Leitrim.
