Waterford will play Galway in the second round of the All-Ireland qualifiers.

The game will be played this Saturday, July 24th with the time and venue to be confirmed later today.

Elsewhere in the draw Clare will face off against Cork.

While the venue is still to be confirmed, it's likely that a doubleheader could take place in either Semple Stadium or Croke Park, with fixtures anticipated at 2pm and 4pm.

The last time Waterford met Galway in the Championship was as far back as 2017 when they locked horns in Croke Park for the showpiece final.

The most recent meetings of the sides was in this year's league. The day in Salthill was not what Liam Cahill would have wanted from his side. The Tribesmen ran home comfortable 4-28 to 3-23 winners.
