A young Waterford athlete is set to represent Ireland on the world stage next week.

Aaron Knox, from Celtic Squash Club, will compete in both the individual and team events at the World Under 19 Squash Championships, which get underway on Monday, 21st July at the Black Ball Sporting Club in Cairo, Egypt.

Aaron, who has only recently turned 17, is competing in the Under-19 category, facing off against some of the top junior players from around the world.

He’s part of a talented Irish squad aiming to make an impact in one of squash’s most prestigious youth tournaments.
