Waterford will be searching for their first points of the Division 1A National hurling league campaign this evening
Both sides lost their opening round games last weekend, Waterford made no subs as they lost by seven points to Wexford at Walsh Park, while Clare overcame Tipp in Ennis
Tipperary have made six changes for this evening's encounter
Déise manager Derek McGrath says the Munster Championship in May is the main aim "We just urge the people to be patient with us in terms of our approach. We feel that if we can unearth a couple of players for the championship throughout the league and a couple of nuggets towards the championship will help us. We don't feel we'll be psychologically scarred in terms of having a defeat. We're going up to Thurles with nobody giving us a hope and we'll have a number of changes and there's a certain freedom in that," he added.
Throw-in in Thurles is at 7.00pm and we'll bring you the game live on WLR, thanks to George Corbett Skoda, with commentary team of Kieran O' Connor and Stephen Frampton.
