Villa FC has accepted a fine for breaking covid guidelines.
The Ozier Park based club confirmed that a small number of club members used the facilities during level 5 lockdown, while youth soccer leagues are postponed.
A spokesperson for the club said the club has remained closed throughout lockdown and this was an isolated incident where a very small number of club members used the club grounds for a kick-about.
Once the incident was known to club management, they stopped the activity and locked the grounds preventing further incidents.
The club has agreed to pay a fine of €300 with €200 suspended and consider the matter closed.
