A busy weekend lies ahead in the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship with a number of quarter-final spots up for grabs.
It’s a double header at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field on Saturday with action underway from 5.30pm.
Abbeyside Ballinacourty look to pick up their first win of the season when they take on Clonea.
That game is followed by the meeting of two unbeaten sides – Mount Sion and Lismore – at 7pm.
The winner of that clash will progress straight through to the quarter-finals while a draw would send both sides through.
On Sunday, Ballygunner and Roanmore could both book their place in the quarter-finals.
There are four games down for decision, beginning with a double header at Walsh Park.
Passage take on Dungarvan from 2pm, followed by the meeting of city rivals Ballygunner and De La Salle at 3:30pm.
A win for Ballygunner will guarantee their passage to the quarter-finals.
Should Roanmore get the better of Brickey Rangers in their 5.30pm throw-in at Fraher Field, they’ll join the Gunners in the last 8 – pending a Ballygunner victory.
The final fixture of the weekend is also at Fraher Field – as Ferrybank take on Fourmilewater from 7pm.
Ferrybank are winless so far, while Fourmilewater got up and running last weekend against Dungarvan.
