Waterford Camogie has officially announced its senior panel for the 2026 inter-county season, as manager Mick Boland and his backroom team begin preparations for the year ahead. Following a strong 2025 campaign, expectations are high across the county.
Meanwhile, Boland will once again be supported by a committed management group, with a renewed focus on development, consistency, and performance. As a result, the panel reflects both continuity and change, blending experience with emerging talent.
Several players from last year’s squad will not be part of the 2026 panel. In total, twelve players have stepped away, either through travel, availability, or personal commitments. Importantly, each has made a valuable contribution to Waterford camogie and is thanked for her service.
The players departing are:

Jordan Scholtz (Tramore)
Niamh Ahearne (Ferrybank)
Kate Lynch (gone travelling)
Molly Comerford (Gailltír)
Aoife Landers (Piltown)
Clodagh Curran (Dungarvan)
Sarah Morrissey (Abbeyside)
Oneila Whelan (An Rinn)
Alex Healy (De La Salle)
Katelyn Gardner (Brickey Rangers)
Overall, their departures open the door for the next generation to step forward.
In response, Waterford have welcomed several exciting new players, with a strong emphasis on Under-23 development. Notably, six U23 players have been added to the panel for the upcoming season.

Katelyn Lyons (Butlerstown) – U23
Kelsie Obanya (Tramore) – U23
Anna McGoldrick (Tramore) – U23
Abbie Burrows (Portlaw) – U23
Encouragingly, these players have impressed at club and county development levels and will now be allowed to test themselves at senior inter-county standard.
In addition, several familiar faces have returned to the senior setup after time away from the panel. Crucially, their experience will add depth and leadership to the group.
The returning players are:
Sarah Lacey (Dungarvan)
Clodagh Carroll (Gailltír)
Laoise Forrest (Gailltír)
Roisin Kirwan (St Anne’s)
Ultimately, this refreshed panel reflects a clear commitment to progress, continuity, and long-term success.
Manager Mick Boland and his backroom team will now turn their attention to pre-season preparations, with training and challenge matches set to ramp up in the coming weeks. Looking ahead, Waterford supporters will be eager to see how this blend of youth and experience performs in the 2026 campaign.
