Waterford Schoolboys League lifts Kennedy Cup Plate
The Waterford Schoolboys Football League has lifted the 2025 Kennedy Cup Plate at the University of Limerick.
The county based selection defeated the Limerick District League 3-2 in a dramatic final that went all the way to extra-time.
The win ranks Waterford as the fifth best performer at this year’s competition which is renowned for showcasing the next generation of up and coming talent in Ireland.
Despite finding themselves two goals down after forty-two minutes, Waterford grabbed an important goal before half-time to halve the deficit through Tom Gahan.
Robert Skehan then pulled Waterford level on the hour mark before Max Chren struck the winner to complete a fantastic turnaround.
