Six games played. Six Games won. Twenty-seven goals were scored. The Villa continued their blistering start to their campaign in Connors Park on Saturday night and they were far too strong for Southend United. James Kennedy put them in front on 16 minutes and then their ace goalscorer Dean Walsh got in on the act. He scored from the penalty spot in the 27th minute and he netted from open play on 66 minutes. Aaron O'Connor added another goal 3 minutes from full-time.
Dungarvan United 1 Ferrybank 2
Ferrybank remain in second place on a total of 16 points following a hard-earned win in Kilrush Park on Saturday night. Danny Reynolds put the host in front from the penalty spot. Kevin Hurley equalised for the Village Grounds outfit and a draw was looking on the cards but Eoin Rhodes popped up with an 85th-minute winner for Richard Gaffney's men.
Carrick United 5 Piltown 2
The improving Carrick United side added to the woes of Piltown in Tom Drohan Park on Sunday morning. The bottom club got off to a great start when Ivan Moldovan gave them the lead in the second minute but that was as good as it got for Piltown. Anthony Grace (4) Eoghan Burke (22) Ryan Waters (27) and Ian Cleary (44) had the home side leading 4-1 at the interval. An OG early in the second half made it 5-1 before Adam Murphy scored a consolation goal for Piltown three minutes before the conclusion of the contest.
Ballinroad 1 Waterford Crystal 1
Two mid-table teams played out a draw in St Lawrence's Park on Sunday. This was not a surprising outcome because prior to kick-off both sides had played out two previous drawn games. Andrew Power gave Crystal the lead from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark but a player who is scoring some vital goals for "The Rams'' this season, namely Toby Taylor worked the oracle once again with a vital late equaliser. Aidan Holden of Crystal was red-carded in the second half.

Seaview Celtic 1 Hibernians 6
This rearranged game in Annestown on Sunday proved to be a stroll for the Premier League team against their Division 1A opponents. Glenn Hawe led the riot with a top-class hat-trick. Adham Masood chipped in with two goals and the former Tramore player Johnny St Ledger also found the Seaview Celtic net. The original game the previous week was abandoned due to an injury sustained by a Hibs player. Thankfully he has recovered fully.
