Waterford ladies football are hosting A Day At The Races on Sunday in Tramore.
All funds raised will go towards the Field of Dreams development in Dungarvan.
Former Déise star Mary O'Donnell says that this project is a long-held ambition. "It's a dream of ours since I was playing 20 odd years ago to have our own field for the development squads, the county players and the county finals. There is a need for this in the county. Facilities are stretched as it is. This is somewhere for the girls to train in, they'll know every week exactly where the training is on. It will take that extra layer of pressure off management teams organising venues. This is a badly needed facility within the county."
Tickets for Sunday's meeting are priced at €50 and include entry to the races, race card. food voucher and live entertainment. The seven race card gets underway at 1.40.
