Waterford ladies footballers will put their senior staus on the line this afternoon as they take on Munster rivals Tipperary in the Relegation Play-Off.

It’s been a disappointing season so far for the Déise ladies, who suffered a heavy defeat to Galway in their recent Qualifier in Birr.

Waterford manager, Pat Sullivan told WLR Sport that they must get a bigger return from the forward line.

Waterford defeated Tipperary in the Division 3 final in 2016 after a replay and prevailed again when the sides met earlier this season. Sullivan expects a close encounter this time around.

The action in Callan is underway at 3 o’clock, Tomás McCarthy will keep us posted on the action here on WLR.
