Dungarvan pro fighter Peter Queally suffered defeat at what was one of the biggest Irish MMA cards in recent years at the weekend.

Queally took on his former teammate, Myles Price, in the co-main event at Bellator 217 in the 3 Arena on Saturday night.

Despite a solid first round from the Waterford fighter, his opponent managed to turn the tide, and ground out a tight split decision win.

It was the 5th loss for the veteran Queally over the course of his 7 year career as a professional MMA fighter.
