Waterford FC will get their Airtricity League  Premier Division campaign up and running this evening when they play St Patrick’s Athletic in Richmond Park.

Last season the Blues defeated the Saints on two occasions at the Inchicore venue.

Michael O’Connor will lead the line up front for the Blues and he says they are going to Dublin to try and secure all three points; “We’ll be going up there looking for the three points, I don’t think we really fear anyone“.

The action in Dublin is underway at 7:45 pm, WLR will broadcast the game live thanks to Clem Jacob Hire with the commentary team of Matt Keane and Gavin Whelan, coverage kicks-off @ 7:30 pm.

Elsewhere tonight, Dundalk begin their quest for a third title in a row with the visit of Derry City to Oriel Park.

Talk of a potential takeover hovers over Cork City ahead of their game with newly-promoted Shelbourne.

There’s a north-west derby in Ballybofey where Finn Harps entertain Sligo Rovers from 8pm.
