Waterford FC will face Roy Keane’s childhood club Rockmount in the semi final of the Munster Senior Cup for the third year in a row, following today’s draw by the Munster Football Association.
The Blues were knocked out by the Cork side in last year’s competition by a goal to nil but cruised past them on their way to their 16th title in 2024.
Rockmount were ultimately beaten by Cobh Ramblers in last year’s decider and have beaten Temple United, Fermoy and College Corinthians on their way to this season’s semi final.
Waterford beat Riverstown of Cork in the last sixteen before overcoming the defending champions Cobh Ramblers 3-2 in extra time in the quarterfinal last Friday evening.
The tie is due to be played on or before Tuesday February 24th.
Cork City will host Kerry FC in the other semi final.
