Waterford FC lost 2-0 to Cork City in Turners Cross last night.
Gearoid Morrissey and Garry Buckley were on target for the champions.
Alan Reynolds the Waterford manager told WLR's Matt Keane that the best team won on the night. He added they must now dust themselves down and get ready for St Patrick's Athletic on Monday.
FT: Cork City 2 (Morrissey 55', Buckley 63') Waterford FC 0. Despite the scoreline, there were positives for the Blues against the defending Premier Division champions. Attention now turns to Monday night's big clash back home at the RSC against St. Patrick's Athletic. #CCFCvWFC
