Waterford FC had to settle for a point at the RSC last night as they were held to a one all draw by Sligo Rovers.
The Blues took the lead on eight minutes after an own goal by Sligo's Kyle Callan-McFadden.
However the visitors equalised thanks to a Raffaele Cretaro header on the brink of half-time.
Both teams finished the game with ten players - Rovers captain Kyle McFadden was sent off on 70 minutes after picking up a second yellow card. Blues defender Dave Webster was handed a straight red card for an elbow on the Sligo goalkeeper.
Coutney Duffus tried his luck from distance on 89 minutes but his effort went narrowly wide.
It finished Waterford FC 1 Sligo Rovers 1.

Elsewhere a 1 - 0 win over Dundalk allowed Cork City to move 3 points clear at the top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division last night.
Gearoid Morrissey scored the decisve goal at Turners Cross in the 53rd minute.
Shamrock Rovers brought Derry City's 100% record at the Brandywell to an end, after they claimed a 0 - 0 draw.
