Waterford FC came away from the Showgrounds with a point last night after playing out a scoreless draw against Sligo Rovers.
Waterford keeper Matthew Connor was the hero for the blues last night, pulling off some superb saves including saving a penalty from Romeo Parkes.
Sligo Rovers played the last quarter of the match with 10 men after Dante Leverock was sent off for Sligo,
Despite chances by Jonathan Lunney and Cory Galvin it finished scoreless.
Blues manager Alan Reynolds says it was important to come away with at least a point on the back of three losses in a row.
"I am not saying that I am thrilled with it (the draw) but it stops the rot in a sense, and we must build on that. We were the better side I felt. Even before the sending off at the end we were putting them under a lot of pressure. It's just disappointed that we didn't get the win."
