Waterford FC continued their fine run of form with their fifth win in six games as they held off the challenge of Bohemians at the RSC.
Waterford FC took the lead just nine minutes into the game when a long goal kick from Sam Sargeant was flicked on into space by Podge Amond and it was Christie Pattisson who picked it up and fired it past Kacper Chorazka.
The sides were level just after the half hour when a Dayle Rooney free kick deflected off the wall and into the top corner.
Waterford kept plugging away and they got the breakthrough 18 minutes from time when Pattisson returned the favour to Amond as he turned provider delivering an inch perfect ball into the six yard box where Amond beat two defenders to the ball and slipped it under the goalkeeper.
