Drogheda United 1 Waterford FC 4

Waterford FC came from behind to claim all three points as they hit Drogheda United for four at Weavers Park in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

Keith Long made one change to the side that drew with Shelbourne last week with Grant Horton coming into the side in place of Ryan Burke.

They fell behind on 13 minutes as Steve Bawa pounced on a loose ball to fire under Sam Sergeant. However the lead lasted just sixty seconds as Darragh Leahy equalised when he got his head to a mis directed shot from Grant Horton and it fired to the net.

The visitors took the lead on 23 minutes when Niall O Keeffe scored his first senior goal for the club when he met a wonderful ball from Darragh Power and blasted home.

Leahy got his second of the game on 62 minutes when a wonderful short corner routine between Barry Baggley and Maleace Asamoah resulted in a near post cross that was flicked home by the defender.

The Blues made the game safe 17 minutes from time when Leahy got on the end of a Baggley free kick and his header across the goal was touched home by Padraig Amond.
