Waterford FC capped a sensational season with a 1-0 win over Longford Town at the RSC last night.
The home side set the pace right from the kick off, with Mark O'Sullivan having an effort stopped by the Longford goalkeeper Jack Brady on 2 minutes.
The Blues couldn't break the deadlock within the first 45 minutes, with further Mark O'Sullivan and Paul Keegan efforts going wide of the mark.
The only goal of the game arrived on 81 minutes, Aaron Drinan played a 40 yard pass which was picked up by Davy McDaid, who then lobbed the visiting keeper to send the capacity crowd wild.
