Derry City 3 Waterford FC 0
Waterford fell to their third defeat of the season to Derry City where they were well beaten by three goals to nil at the Brandywell.
All the damage was done in the opening half with the opening goal coming after eleven minutes when Michael Duffy fired home after a good pass from Ben Doherty.
Waterford were down to ten men as Podge Amond was receiving treatment for a head injury on 21 minutes when Mark Connolly met a Will Patching cross and his header beat Sam Sargeant for Derry's second.
The third came just after the half hour when Paul McMullen slotted the ball through the centre to Pat Hoban and the prolific striker turned to fire into the bottom corner.
